Painting with light course

Fantastic two day course at Warm Glass. Using layers of clear glass and powders, you layer the colour like a watercolour. Very fluid and subtle technique. This knowledge is going to help me so much. Also a really nice group and teacher, great to talk shop with likeminded people. Only downside was trying not to spend too much in the shop there. Couldn't resist the powder set and the dichroic copper foil.

New iridescent fused glass bowl

Impossible to capture the colour changes, really happy with this one. Iridescent Bullseye glass and dichroic stringers, fused and slumped.

fused glass fish picture

Using glass enamel, silver leaf and the usual glass. Lots of nice bubbles in this one. I still need to finish their tails though.

fused, slumped and tac fired bowl test

Fresh out of the kiln. I'm quite pleased with this even though it's a bit lopsided. It shrank more than I expected, so the glass needs to overlap the mould a fair bit next time. I love the texture of the frit and the light through it.
As you can see, Isha is impressed.

fish plate, a tester for a bowl

A first go at some silver fish, now I need to make lots more for a big bowl.
Bullseye and Dichroic fused glass with stringers and frit. I've had a chance to really use my Christmas presents, a standard Kristall grinder and an Inland flat lap grinder. Helped a lot with the tails...

fused, slumped glass wave, one tac fire to go....
